Paris and Washington, June 12, 2023 - Astran, a software company specializing in data security, today announced that it has raised $5 million with Galion.Exe & Sistafund. This round of funding will enable the company to continue accelerating the adoption of its new secure cloud storage standard.
Eiffage, Sanofi and other public and private organizations have already adopted the Astran solution for their confidential data. Its data fragmentation technology (threshold cryptography) guarantees data confidentiality, integrity and availability in a simple way, avoiding the complexity of encryption keys, which usually requires stacking several complex solutions.
"We need to store more and more data in the cloud, with increasing risks of cyber-attacks and data leaks. Astran protects our most vital financial and HR data while keeping it available at all times. Sistafund and Galion.exe join Astran's historical investors Newfund and Founders Future, who are reinvesting on this occasion. In addition to the co-founders, Astran's new Board of Directors will include Jean-Baptiste Rudelle, founder of Criteo and co-founder of Galion, and Tatiana Jama, managing partner of Sistafund.

Astran will continue to expand both in France and internationally, with a number of new hires planned over the coming months, and will strengthen its strategic partnerships with AWS, Azure, Google, Outscale, OVH, Salesforce and Scaleway.
Google selected Astran from among 15 companies for its cybersecurity accelerator program, and two Astran founders recently travelled to Washington to present the solution to NIST, as part of a selective program run by the French government.
